Hi again, Kim here from Sunshine, Smiles, and Cards! I am here today to share with you an idea that I had several years back but for some reason had not taken the time to follow through with the making. I LOVE my Lawn Fawn stamps so much so that I really wanted to create something for myself that I would not end up giving away such as a card. I also wanted to make something useful (I love it when things serve a purpose AND they are pretty).
Pretty much since the day I could read I have had a bookmark fetish but nowadays with my Kindle and my Kindle App on my phone and listening to audiobooks while I clean and craft I don't really use bookmarks anymore. I do however use a planner and I am constantly flipping back and forth between monthly and day of or over to notes I have taken or want to write down and that's when I realized I could still make those bookmarks and use them in my planner!
I'll keep this short and sweet. I am going to give a run down of the supplies I used and the instruction are super easy:
Next I stamped the image onto the paper and colored it.
I then used my adhesive runner to glue down the magnetic disc between the front side of the bookmark and a blank piece of cardstock so that the magnetic disc wouldn't be seen when it was opened. By the time I got to the third bookmark I had decided that when in use the magnetic disc wouldn't be visible so I skipped this step when making the flamingo one which turned out to be my favorite.
Once I was finished I left these as they are but I am toying with the idea of laminating them so that they will be more durable and can be wiped clean. I started with these three since I had never done it before and already know I want to make more because especially with Lawn Fawn there are so many cute animals that need to live in my planner!
Thank you so much for stopping by I encourage you to take a look at the Lawn Fawn goodies on the website at scrappingforless.com as well as Lawn Fawn's new release which can be ordered on the Scrapping for Less Facebook Group.
