Happy Tuesday! Kim here from Sunshine, Smiles and Cards. I hope you are having a great start to your week. This past weekend Scrapping For Less released their "Flavor of the Month" Card Kit. If you missed it go back to Saturday March 18th and you still have time to participate and get entered in the Rafflecopter where you can win a piece of the card kit collection! I am having so much fun with this kit! I kept coming back to this "Ice Cream Kitty" stamp and decided I really wanted to watercolor it. I got out my Zig Clean Color Markers and gave it a go.
Do you ever get caught in a coloring rut? I have noticed that any time I have a kitty cat to color I tend to color it gray and I decided I wanted to break away from that and do something different. So I googled long haired cats because I am pretty sure that's what is in this stamp. (So, I don't have a cat of my own if you can't tell so far.) I found an image that I just LOVED and decided to color my kitty accordingly. I was really happy with the way it turned out and have to admit a little more confident in doing other color combos too. I did fussy cut the image out so dont be confused if you look at a pic of the stamp in the card kit and see a mouse as well. The paper I used is from collection #1 as well. The sentiments I pulled from the Banana Split Card Kit because I thought they fit perfectly.
Whether you are a seasoned card maker or thinking you just may like to give it a try I am a firm believer that you will LOVE this card kit! If you would like to check it out just click here and you will be able to go through the different levels and see which one would work best for you. Have a great rest of your week and thanks so much for stopping by and checking out what's going on in our little corner of the blogosphere!
Hi! My name is Jessica and I'm an avid paper crafter! I love to scrapbook and make cards, as well as dabble in altered art/mixed media. I am also a planner girl! I have also met some of my closest friends by means of paper crafting/planning! I love the relationships that I have formed from this awesome hobby!
I have been on numerous Design Teams over the last the last 7 years, as well as having my projects published in catalogs and magazines! My first item published was in Cricut Magazine!
My favorite crafting tool to play with is my Cricut followed closely by my ink and paper! The possibilities are endless with paper and ink!
My happy place is my craft room! I mean, I could totally get beyond caught up with the items in there for DAYS! So many tools and supplies to play with, as well as some of my favorite projects have evolved from there!
I'm sort of obsessed with Echo Park and Simple Stories paper... I'll let you in on a secret...sometimes, I can't even bring myself to use it-and I'll hoard it! Who else can relate??
I am not only just a wife and mommy- Brandon Sr. is my husband and Brandon Jr. is my son, but, am an Anti-Money Laundering Investigator full time. And I I LOVE IT!
When I'm not in my craftroom, I love to vend at scrapbook crops, go to our local shore point-Ocean City-with hubby and kiddo, go to the movies, play games with Little Bran, and enjoy a date night with my hubby (we just hit 20 years together)!
So that's a quick run down on me! I'm super excited to be a part of the Scrapping For Less Design Team! Can't wait to bring my projects to life for you all to see!
Here is a favorite project!
